ABOUT MRS. MAAS
My name is Nichole Maas and I am one of the Varying Exceptionalities (VE) resource teacher at Harvey Elementary. I have been a special education teacher for 25 years, working with students in grades K-5. I attended college at the University of South Florida in Tampa. After graduation I taught in Hillsborough County for 3 years. I got married in 1996 and moved to San Antonio, Texas, where I taught for the next eight years. After my daughter was born we moved back to Florida and I was hired as the self contained VE teacher at Virgil Mills. I taught at Mills for 14 years before moving to Harvey as the VE Resource teacher. Opening a new school was a very exciting and rewarding opportunity! I LOVE being a Harvey shark, and can't wait for another school year to start!!
I am the proud mother of a wonderful daughter who recently graduated from State University. My husband and I enjoy boating on the weekends and spending time with friends. We also enjoy traveling both in and out of the US!
